I have a pretty simple method of posting tables. I use a free html editor called Nvu. I use the table function to create the size of table I want, input my data, and then resize it to fit my needs. When I am done, I copy the html data between (and including of course) the table tags, and paste it in the blogger editor (and now for me, wordpress). So far, it has not failed me.
I believe I succeeded in saving an excel file as html (in the save as...) and pasting something from it. Maybe open an html excel in a browser, view it's source, and copy the table code. Something like that.
Nvu is free, and can be found by googling it. I use it as an html editor, and a little scratchpad. And considering how code dumb I am, it must be easy.
I hope that helps

I have used this:
http://www.bagism.com/tablemaker/
This looks good also:
http://www.ahfb2000.com/tablemakertool2.php?sub=gen_form
Nice thing is, there is nothing to download or install and no Registry clutter.
