| Samuel Pahlsson (Anh - C) | Drop | Earl Strikes Back | Waivers |
That's all I've got for today. I'm up in Indiana for the weekend, and it sounds like I'll miss a doozy tonight in Nashville. The Wild are coming to town, and they've picked up another goon off the waiver wire to cruise alongside Derek Boogaard. Will Barry Trotz counter by dressing Darcy Hordichuk? Personally, I'd rather see them not, and focus on winning the game, but you certainly don't want to see someone come in and rough up your talent.

At the very least, it looks like Sammy's not getting any more power play time, which is a pretty damn good thing for Anaheim.

That makes sense, though; when I checked the league this morning I was surprised to see that drop, nonetheless. But did you already have Bertuzzi on your roster? Did you have to drop Pahlsson just to activate him? I'm still figuring out the roster/transaction limits, as I'd like to find a depth defenseman, but of course the pickings are mighty slim at this point.

Once the guy is re-activated, you don't have to take them off the IR right away, but eventually it will need to happen (I think Yahoo prevents you from doing any player-adds while a healthy guy is in an IR slot). When that happens, you have to drop a player to make room for the big fat useless Bertuzzi.
I wouldn't worry too much about the transaction limits--I think you'd have to work very hard to hit that (daily drop/adds or something).

Your story on Whos doing better and worse than expected has a bit of a fault. You wrote the Islanders were due for a fall after there good start because they have more goals against then goals for. Two of the Islanders losses this season came from a 8-1 loss to Toronto and a 8-3 loss to Carolina. Take those two games out of the season and thats 38 GF and 28 GA. Those two bad losses kill the stats of the Islanders, but it doesnt mean there gonna make a fall in the standings.
