Nashville Predators recall Cody Franson from Milwaukee
From the Nashville Predators:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Cody Franson from Milwaukee (AHL).
Franson, 22 (8/8/87), has two points (1g-1a) in three games with the Admirals in 2009-10. A season ago, he was named a 2008-09 Second-Team AHL All-Star after ranking third among AHL defensemen in points (52), sixth among league blueliners in assists (41) and tied for seventh in goals (11). Drafted 79th overall (third round) in the 2005 Entry Draft, the Salmon Arm, B.C., native has yet to appear in an NHL contest.
Interestingly, Alexander Sulzer still sits in Milwaukee with his one-way contract.

There we go...
I’m assuming that Klein is either going to be the 7th defenseman for a while (at best) or will be watching from a suite.
Assuming of course there are no injuries that I’m not aware of yet.

please be a precursor for a Hamhuis move. Trade, bench, something!!!!
Section 326 is in the house!!!
Almost Assuredly Not Going to Happen
Hamhuis certainly hasn’t been perfect, but having Klein as his mate isn’t helping.
Right now, Klein has regressed badly.
Franson will move into the top six, not exactly know where right now, and Klein will set a while.
Kevin Klein is rapidly playing his way out of Nashville.

can we play Franson
instead of Hammer and Klein both? we might be better off with just one defenceman out there.
Klein with a well deserved trip to the press box...
Hamhuis has been inconsistent, but Klein is bringing him down IMO. Eliminate Klein from the equation, then evaluate Hamhuis.
Laakso has been paired with Hamhuis a couple of times in the past few games late when the coaching staff has mixed the pairings and has been getting better with each passing game (although he is still prone to rookie mistakes).
Bouillon is the best skater of our defense corps and Franson probably the worst. Pair them together and move Laakso up with Hamhuis and you have:
Suter – Weber
Hamhuis – Laakso
Bouillon – Franson

HAMHUIS INJURED...
Franson was recalled to replace Hamhuis in the lineup after Dan suffered an upper-body injury last night. Klein is still in the lineup…
This is a big reprieve for Klein IMO, he better step up!!!

I just saw that on Twitter, and am posting something on it.
More fun than a stick to the face!
