Hamhuis injured? Preds say that's why Franson was recalled
In a blog post this evening at The Tennessean, John Glennon brings word from the Nashville Predators that defenseman Dan Hamhuis has "suffered an upper-body injury Thursday and will be sidelined against the Capitals" tomorrow night. This was the reason cited for today's recall of Cody Franson from Milwaukee.
According to the Time On Ice report from last night's game, Hamhuis played into the final minute of the third period, so whatever occurred didn't stop him from finishing the game.
Against the #3 scoring team in the NHL, this is certainly not a time for Nashville to lose one of its key blueliners.

FWIW, injury is legit
After texting the news to several friends, I got back a message that Hammer was indeed receiving treatment for an injury last night. Appears to be a legit injury…

Are you Barry Trotz?! David Poile?
Seriously though, you know a lot about the team! It’s great to have someone on here that really understands all the parts to the team and even has some inside info!

It’s probably tendonitis from scooping the puck out of the back of the net so many times.
