Senior center and tri-captain Blake Geoffrion sat out the final 39 minutes of the opener after taking a blow to the head and has been diagnosed with a concussion.

After scoring a power-play tally just 4:39 into the season to start his senior season at the University of Wisconsin, Predators prospect Blake Geoffrion was knocked out of the game on his first shift of the second period after taking a blow to the head and has officially been diagnosed with a concussion and is out indefinitely.  Geoffrion, who missed time last season due to a high ankle sprain, sat out Saturday night's 1-1 tie at Colorado College. 

The Badgers finish opening weekend with an 0-1-1 record.  Predators '09 draftee Craig Smith started his freshman season at Wisconsin playing in both games this weekend picking up an assist Friday night and finishing the weekend with 6 shots on goal.
