Twitter / NHLPredsInsider: Ellis to start tomorrow's ...
While Dan Ellis gets the start, we also get word that J.P. Dumont will not play. Does that mean Joel Ward can step into the lineup, or will someone be called up from Milwaukee?

Dan Ellis will start in goal for the Preds when they take on Colorado in the team’s home opener on Thursday. Ellis started in Dallas last Saturday and stopped 38 of 40 shots to post the victory.
Predators coach Barry Trotz also said Pekka Rinne will start Saturday’s home game against Buffalo.

If JP is experiencing any ill effects...
I don’t want to see him on the ice for a minimum of seven symptom free days and only after he passes off-ice testing as well. We all saw the aftereffects of Burrows “ninja karate style kick” blow to Dumont’s head last year and I simply don’t think the team can afford another season of JP playing with cobwebs floating around in his head.
I’d also like to strongly recommend that he invest in a Cascade helmet for when he gets back out there. They are well designed, look decent, and have a great endorsement now with Mark Messier buying into the company this past summer.
