As he fills in for the injured J.P. Dumont, Nashville Predators winger Patric Hornqvist might serve as a short-term stopgap in your fantasy hockey lineup.

Are you getting ready to fill out your fantasy hockey lineup for the weekend? If you've got Nashville Predators on your roster, follow after the jump for the latest updates...

Star-divide

J.P. Dumont

#71 / Right Wing / Nashville Predators

6-1

Apr 01, 1978

The big news fantasy-wise out of Nashville is that after taking a big hit from Stephane Robidas in Saturday's game in Dallas, J.P. Dumont has yet to return to practice. The team has been keeping mum in terms of specifics or a timetable for his return, and let's face it - in the modern NHL, no news is bad news. Put Dumont on your bench until further notice, or IR if your league allows it.

Patric Hornqvist

#27 / Right Wing / Nashville Predators

5-11

Jan 01, 1987

The beneficiary of the Dumont opening is Patric Hornqvist, who led all Nashville scorers in pre-season action and has assumed the RW spot on the Preds' top line. If you need a short-term patch in your forward ranks, he might be worth considering.

Dan Ellis

#39 / Goalie / Nashville Predators

6-0

188

Jun 19, 1980

On the strength of his pre-season work and the opening win in Dallas, Dan Ellis has earned a start tonight against Colorado. Pekka Rinne is slated for Saturday's home date with Buffalo, while Monday's starter has yet to be determined. Watch how these next two games go to get a signal as to who will face Edmonton.

The Rest

The rest of the usual fantasy suspects (Jason Arnott, Steve Sullivan, Shea Weber, Ryan Suter, etc.) are all good to go as the Preds work a three-game homestand tonight through Monday. Home-ice advantage should allow coach Barry Trotz to leverage favorable line matchups, and the short-term injury situation might force him to give his top forwards extra ice time.
