New mouthpiece helps NHL, NBA & NFL players improve performance
An interesting article over at Kelowna.com profiles Dr. Anil Makkar, who fits athletes with a special mouthguard which supposedly aligns the jaw better with the neck and spine, increasing athletic performance. The Preds' Jordin Tootoo is cited within the piece as a believer, having used the device since training camp this season. The Pittsburgh Penguins, the NFL's Terrell Owens and members of the New Orleans Saints, and the NBA's Shaquille O'Neal are also mentioned as using the device.

I believe the New Orleans Saints use a similar mouthpiece.
No wonder they’re 9-0!

Scatchard too.
I don’t know if he uses a mouthpiece but he had something done with his jaw that he says has really helped him.
