Around SBN: Off Tackle Empire interviews Rich Rodriguez

It's been a slow and steady rise for the Preds within the Western Conference side of the SB Nation NHL Power Rankings. Keep in mind that most of the voting here took place before last night's victory over Detroit.

SI has us at number 2?!?

The Preds managed number 2 in Allan Muir’s rankings. I don’t know about all of that. Granted, we’re on a hot streak right now, but 2nd? I love my Preds, but I don’t want to set unrealistic expectations.

What does it take!

Honestly, I don’t agree with those rankings. And yes they were posted before the win last night but what is it going to take to get some credit around the NHL it’s rediculous. On the other hand, the Vs. crew last night really gave the Preds credit for our play of recent. When we play our game we are one of the best teams around and I really think there is a lot more of that coming. I’m so glad we got our lines straight, everyone is chipping in, and the coaching staff have left Pekks in net which I have been saying they need to do for the longest time!!
