Predators must again find way to survive - ESPN
Pierre LeBrun's latest blog checks in with the Preds as they struggle along with key players lost to injury.
The real question, however, is to what extent the injury issue is providing cover to guys like Martin Erat and David Legwand who have just underachieved so far, period.

A clear-eyed summary
“Nashville isn’t New York,” were the first words out of David Freeman’s mouth at the Predators’ Skate of the Nation event last summer. He was addressing a season-ticket holder who wondered when her cash outlay would be matched, proportionally, by the team’s general manager in seeking scoring talent. His words rang in my ears as I watched the Yankees’ multimillionaires celebrate their World Series win. They echoed again as I stayed up late to see the undermanned Predators fade late in their 4-0 loss at Honda Center.

Great point – I’d encourage you to flesh that out in a FanPost. Granted, MLB doesn’t have a salary cap or revenue sharing, but there is legitimate dissatisfaction within the fan base over this team’s continuing struggles to score goals, particularly on the power play.
There’s no more help available in Milwaukee that we can look to (Mike Santorelli is their leading goal scorer with 4, and that was after playing only 4 games), so offensive help will have to come from outside the organization. Unless, that is, Martin Erat and David Legwand turn things around and elevate their game as Barry Trotz so famously said this summer.
More fun than a stick to the face!
On the Forecheck is SB Nation's blog covering the Nashville Predators.
