Nashville Predators right wing Jerred Smithson has earned a steady NHL job due to hard work and dedication, writes David Boclair in the Nashville City Paper this morning.

It's going to be a busy week for the Nashville Predators as they wrap up their current road trip with games in San Jose tomorrow and St. Louis on Thursday, before returning to home ice for a matchup with Montreal Saturday night.

Until we get back to the action, then, it's time for your morning news and notes. 3 Predators in the top 12 on that list

While Beck is at the top of that junior scoring list, don’t forget that Bourque is 6th and Latta is ranked 12th.

Budish also had a great weekend, really buzzing around for Minnesota Friday night after being promoted from the fourth line to a scoring line role and then promptly went out and lead the Gophers to victory with 2g, 1a performance on Saturday night. Also in that series, Craig Smith registered 4 assists on the weekend playing on a line with Blake Geoffrion who himself added 2g, 1a on 10 shots on the weekend…
