Weber, Hornqvist part of decade's best
Puck Daddy ran a "5 best/5 worst draft picks" piece for their best of the decade series today, and Shea Weber and Patric Hornqvist both appear on the good side of the list.
Weber was picked after a litany of excellent defenders, and arguably has become the best D-man in the draft class. Hornqvist was picked dead last and is now a relatively productive NHL player.
Further proof that Predators General Manager David Poile is one of the best in the business.

Wow, I had no idea Hornqvist was "Mr. Irrelevant"

he said people drafted in the last round are generally considered afterthoughts.
Well done
I’m putting this on the front page, definitely worth sharing!

I need to remember to occasionally post something to remind people about FanPosts and FanShots, they’re a great way to add to the conversation here, and I can promote the best ones onto the front page (which also can get them noticed on other SB Nation sites, too).

I agree. Also, not to toot my own horn, but I’ve been published in several area newspapers for different things and am studying for journalism so if you ever need a break or help with anything don’t hesitate to let me know.
I’d highly encourage you to contribute FanPosts on whatever hockey-related subject you like. Got a problem with the Preds power play? Which guys on expiring contracts should David Poile sign to an extension now, not later? The possibilities are endless, and when you tag a FanPost with the teams and players that are relevant to the piece, it can show up on the other SB Nation hockey sites next to articles that share a similar tag.
It’s a great way to not just spur discussion around here, but get people from other fanbases interacting as well.
