Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that forward Cal O’Reilly has been reassigned to Milwaukee (AHL).

O’Reilly, 23 (9/30/86), played in three games during his most recent stint with the Predators, recording his first point of the season on Dec. 2 at Minnesota. In nine games with Nashville during a pair of recalls this season, the Toronto native has one assist and two penalty minutes.

With Dave Scatchard back in the lineup, O'Reilly gets squeezed out of the 4th-line center position. Since his contract kicks into one-way status next season, it may be best for him to play a major role in Milwaukee for the time being.
