Jordin Tootoo to miss 3-4 weeks with broken foot
Struck by a Shea Weber slapshot Saturday night, Jordin Tootoo will now miss an extended period of time, according to the Nashville Predators' official Twitter account.
It's a tough break (pun thoroughly intended) for Tootoo, who has been bringing the combination of physical play and discipline that made him so productive two seasons ago, and he was even chipping in offensively on the third line alongside Marcel Goc. Who will get called up to take his spot? The guys at Admirals Short Shifts dug into this question yesterday.

Boo, hiss. He was really turning into a productive player. I think we’ll really miss him this time.
My vote is Thuresson as well. Been here before and was doing the right things, it just didn’t show on the scorecard.
How close is Wilson to playing up here Dirk? No chance he could get the call, right?
I would recommend putting your question about Wilson to the guys at Admirals Short Shifts, they’re closer to that than I am. I would guess the biggest question with Colin is whether his groin issue has cleared up enough for him to go full-bore.
More fun than a stick to the face!
On the Forecheck is SB Nation's blog covering the Nashville Predators.
This is a bummer
Toots has looked like he really has found his stride this year. I love his new-found ability to draw penalties from other players who go after him based on his reputation, only to find him not retaliating. He’s one of those “heart and soul of the team” type players, and is always missed when not in the lineup. Would love to see Wilson come up but he may not be ready, I think the call will be Thuresson.
