Ellis or Rinne, anybody heard?

by Chris Burton on Dec 19, 2009 3:05 PM EST reply actions

Oops, fixed.

It’s Ellis, according to Tom Callahan

Ellis is probably the right call

especially if Pekka is under the weather

Calgary’s arena is pretty awesome

Crap

And too late to change my fantasy lineup, too.

Thanks Trotzy.

Definitely nice to get the early lead

Forgetting what that did for Edmonton, of course.

Guys are playing well so far

Now let’s see the power play kick in…

All those bodies at the net created the goal

Too bad it didn’t count as a PPG though

What a play by Erat there!

Can’t believe the way he gained the zone and created space for himself…

There's a goal!!

2-0. However I think it came just after the power play expired.

Grr...

Straightforward PP goal for Calgary there…

Should have been a penalty on Kipper

unless punching in the face is legal now

by PredHead on Dec 19, 2009 4:38 PM EST reply actions

I can't believe we leave that period with the lead

despite special teams going from bad to worse

"Get to the Choppa!"

I'm loving these daylight shots of Calgary

looks like a beautiful city

2nd period off to a decent start.

Ugh

Not a good one for Belak there, McGratten had him tied up pretty well. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a return match there…

Belak hasn’t gotten much action in recently. He’s probably a little rusty.

by jerseypredsfan on Dec 19, 2009 5:08 PM EST up reply actions

Sick shot by Iginla there

I thought that was a lazy tap ahead he made to start the play, but yikes, what a shot.

Just hold on, guys

Lots of pressure from the Flames midway through the 2nd here. That’s where you look to see Arnott swoop through and gather the puck…

We'll come back

We’ve had out share of rough second periods, but our third periods are all about the heart. The best way to beat the Preds is to outwork them, not an easy task in the final period these days.

Conroy

Dangerous chance there…talk to each other, guys!

Discipline

I like how the Preds aren’t getting rattled with the Flames physicality on the boards. They are washing our faces and we aren’t taking bad penalties.

Guys are working hard, too

Dumont hustled like mad and almost got that icing waived off.

Good grief. Honestly not sure we deserved this one, but who gives a dang. Ellis made the plays he needed to.

23 goals in 4 games?!?

Not sure what has happened to Erat this last few weeks, but man is he ever hot. Spaling and Franson are keepers, and Klein really needs to get himself together. More turnovers today.
