Andreas Thuresson likely to be recalled
Thanks to the guys at Admirals Short Shifts, who are indicating that Andreas Thuresson is getting the nod for at least the weekend's games against Chicago. Do we see something like this?
Erat-Arnott-Sullivan
Ward-Legwand-Goc
Hornqvist-Spaling-Dumont
Thuresson-Scatchard-Jones
Any thoughts?

We should note that Admirals Short Shifts thought Thuresson would be the guy with the last recall, which turned out to be Spaling instead. This makes a ton of sense, though.
I don’t know if Jones is a good enough skater to hang with Legwand if he’s going up against the Toews line this weekend, maybe you put Erat over there for the short-term?
More fun than a stick to the face!

If I remember correctly
Their last speculation was just that, speculation— this one appears to be an informed statement, so we’ll see.
I’d actually like to see Goc with Leggy and Ward, because I think he’s the next best defensive forward, but I’m not sure who you put with Horny and JP though. Its a bit superfluous to have two good faceoff guys on the same line, I think. Arnott, Marty, and Sully are getting too many good chances to break up, IMO.
Maybe:
E-A-S
Ward-Legwand-Goc
Hornqvist-Spaling-Dumont
Jones-Scatchard-Thuresson
This still leaves us having to play Scatch, which after Tuesday I’m not the biggest fan of…Hmmm…

Keep'em the same...
Trotz was quoted earlier this month after the recall of Spaling as saying that the decision was made based on the need for a bottom-six player, rather than a top-nine prospect. With that distinction being made and Thuresson being huddled into the “top-nine” category (he has been playing on the Ads top line), I wouldn’t necessarily mind seeing Thuresson simply slot into Smithson’s unlikely roster spot on the second line…
Sullivan – Arnott – Erat
Thuresson – Legwand – Ward
Hornqvist – Goc – Dumont
Jones – Spaling – Scatchard
Not the prettiest lineup, but neither was the one that has worked thus far this season with Smithson living out his childhood dreams and playing in the top-six. Thuresson has good speed and great hustle, isn’t afraid to take the body, and loves to get his nose dirty in the corners and at the front of the net. I think if given the opportunity, he could actually be a very good supporting player on that line.
My other choice would revolve around moving Hornqvist and Jones up a slot and starting Thuresson down on the fourth line…
