Nashville Predators put Dave Scatchard on waivers

UPDATE: As expected, Scatchard has been assigned to Milwaukee after clearing.

Following up on the news that the Nashville Predators have sent Alexander Sulzer to Milwaukee, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports that the Preds have today put Dave Scatchard on waivers:

Presumably this is in preparation for sending Scatchard to Milwaukee, as he's got the required level of NHL experience to qualify for waivers, unlike Sulzer.

Interesting

With Sulzer and Scatchard down, do we see anyone else called up, or does it remain status quo?

Not exactly FanPost worthy, but Columbus acquired Caps captain Chris Clark and Milan Jurcina for Jason Chimera today.

I think Thuresson coming up recently covers the Scatchard move.

I plan on linking to a good analysis piece on the Columbus-Washington move in the morning. It might provide the locker-room change that they need.

More fun than a stick to the face!

Belak will be in the lineup

With our next three games against St. Louis, Columbus, and Anaheim you can be sure that Beeler will be in the lineup and actually have a willing counterpart (Crombeen, Boll, and Parros respectively). Therefore, I doubt we will see a recall at this time provided there are no other injuries…

Thuresson has played pretty well in his two games so far and Spaling is really impressing in his limited role as well. If only we can get the “big guys” to move their feet and start contributing at both ends of the rink, then we’ll be back to the Predators hockey team we’ve grown to love this season…the one without 8-10 minute lulls in each game!

I'd like to see

Belak actually perform his role against these teams who play, uh, with an “edge”.

Any news on the Tootoo front? Approaching 3 weeks since his injury.
