Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Cal O’Reilly from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. This is the second NHL recall for O’Reilly, Nashville’s fourth choice, 150th overall (fifth round), in the 2005 Entry Draft.
O’Reilly, 22 (9/30/86), played his first two career NHL games on February 28 and March 3, posting an assist in his National Hockey League debut, an 8-0 victory vs. Detroit. The 6-0, 187-pound center ranks second in the AHL in assists (56) and ninth in points (69). O’Reilly was one of three Admirals to play in the 2009 AHL All-Star Classic on Jan. 26. In 80 games a season ago, the Toronto, Ont. native ranked third in AHL assists (63) and fifth in points (79).
