Habs dump Guy Carbonneau
In a move that I'm sure will be compared to the way the New Jersey Devils have dumped coaches late in the regular season, the Montreal Canadiens have fired Guy Carbonneau today as the team has struggled in the 2nd half of the season, having gone 8-13-1 since January 20.
It makes you feel so much better as a Nashville Predators fan that we've only had one guy at the helm for the team's entire existence...

I think that's ridiculous
But in Nashville we are sheltered from coaching changes, both with our NFL and NHL teams.
The Titans have never known another coach than Jeff Fisher, and the Preds with Trotz.

The Devils tried it twice...
The first time they fired Robbie Ftorek late in the year, and Larry Robinson led them to a Cup in the playoffs. A couple years ago they dumped Claude Julien, and that didn’t work out. I think Julien’s happier in Boston these days!
More fun than a stick to the face!
On the Forecheck is SB Nation's blog covering the Nashville Predators.
