Interestingly, the fan poll at the Wings' site had them selecting the Blues as the team the Wings would best match up with for the first round (this was earlier this morning; they have since changed the poll question).  Earlier this season (before 8-0, and the last two games), the answer was overwhelmingly the Preds.  The comments left at www.freep.com in response to articles about the story have the same theme:

I know I'd certainly rather see the Preds face the Sharks in round 1, but Anaheim would have to tank.  Just makes me wonder where we'd be if we'd had Erat, Legwand, and Arnott in the lineup for those two recent games against the Blackhawks.
