New Blog: Anonymous Eagle covering Marquette!

Way to go, Ralphie!

Back in April, SB Nation launched a contest to see which of the community's various Twitter accounts could reach the 5,000 followers mark first, and over the weekend, The Ralphie Report (SB Nation's blog covering the NCAA's Colorado Buffaloes) became the first to achieve that milestone.

I had no idea that prairie-dwelling buffalo fetishists were so into Twitter, but there you go. Well done, guys.

The rest of us are still plugging away, and I'm proud to say that my account (@Forechecker) still stands 2nd among SB Nation's NHL blogs, and 9th overall (out of well over 100) with 1,475 followers.

You can still be the first NHL blog to 5k!

But The Ralphie Report had 1,912 followers on May 7. How did they get over 3,000 followers in about three weeks?

Being a university-oriented site, I’m guessing that the student population is probably big on Twitter, so demographics probably helped. It’s certainly remarkable, though!

More fun than a stick to the face!
