Alexander Radulov speaks: "I try not to think about Nashville"

You can stick a fork in any of your wishes that Alexander Radulov might return to the Nashville Predators any time soon. Thanks to the tip from Kukla's Korner, here's an interview posted today on the English-language version of Sport-Express, a Russian daily:

"Frankly speaking I try not to think about Nashville and that scandal as I don’t want to waste my energy on it", said Radulov to Sport Express. "Now I play in Salavat Yulaev".

"I understand that everybody is interested in what I am doing now and what is happening in my life, but I don’t like discussing it".

"My contract with Salavat Yulaev will run for two years more. I won’t hide that I have an offer from NHL, however I am satisfied with my career in Russia".

"I don’t consider any variants of moving somewhere as I can’t put Ufa in a spot".

It's refreshing to hear an athlete speak so strongly about their commitment to fulfill a contract with his team, isn't it?

Retch...

Not the brightest crayola...

….in the box. Should he ever decide to return to the NHL, he owes Nashville a year. Yet he comments on how he would be wasting his energy to even think about Nashville, and couldn’t leave Ufa “in a spot.” Kinda like bailing on his contract here only after taking Arnott out of the playoffs?

"I have an offer from the NHL"

oooh, he must feel so sought after. Does that offer include a lawsuit and a mandate to finish your contract with the Preds?
