New group seeking expansion team for Toronto???

Move over Jim Balsillie, a much more palatable option might be on the table for bringing a 2nd NHL team to the Toronto area. A press conference will be held tomorrow by a group with plans (and apparently $1 billion) for an expansion team in the Greater Toronto Area, complete with a team name and arena plan.

Let's see, a new group with a big wad of cash that would get divided up among all the current NHL owners, rather than a rogue bent on acquiring a team through legal confrontation and forced relocation. At least in theory, this new development represents a far better prospect for bringing a new team to Ontario.

Surely the Make It Seven folks will be thrilled at this news, right? After all, if they're all about adding a Canadian team...
