Detroit's Jiri Hudler leaves for KHL
After filing for arbitration earlier this week, Detroit Red Wings forward Jiri Hudler has now signed a contract with Moscow Dynamo of the KHL. The 25 year-old center had 23 goals and 34 assists last season and was a restricted free agent.
Since the end of the season, the Red Wings have now lost Marian Hossa, Tomas Kopecky, Mikael Samuelsson and Ty Conklin. Is their developmental pipeline stocked deep enough to cover those losses? They haven't brought anyone in from outside the organization, and basically have no cap space left to do so anyway.
