Where do the Nashville Predators fit in the Western Conference playoff run?

If you're craving a little Nashville Predators talk during your afternoon, just give a listen to beat writer John Glennon's segment on the Thom Abraham Show from earlier today. They talk about how the team has continued to play well despite a host of injuries, and where the Preds fit into the Western Conference playoff picture. You can listen to the MP3 via the link below:

There is a bit of an audio skip about midway through, so don't freak out when it goes silent for a few seconds.

All in all, you have to really like how things are going, during this time when 3-4 AHL callups have been required on a nightly basis. It bodes well for the team's ability to keep up the pace once guys like Jason Arnott, Jordin Tootoo and Jerred Smithson return to action.

Last month, when I sat in on the NHL Fanhouse weekly podcast, I told Bruce Ciskie that I thought the Preds were a 5-7 seed in the West, and that's pretty much the course they're on right now. But what do you think?

Kinda surprised

Nobody swung for the fences and put us upsetting Chicago for the division lead (yet).

boy

Would I love to play someone besides the Wings and Sharks behind this postseason. Keep the pace and there shouldn’t be any problems. An absolute dream matchup for us would be a 4/5 series against Colorado with us as the 4…
