"Fangtastic 5K" coming up next month

From the Nashville Predators:

Lace up those running shoes and make sure to get limbered up; the Nashville Predators annual Fangtastic 5K Run/Walk, presented by Action Nissan, is right around the corner. Set for Saturday, February 6, the Run/Walk beings at 10 a.m. and goes through downtown Smashville, starting and ending on the Sommet Center plaza. The top male and female winners overall will win an overnight stay and round of golf from Green Farm Resort located in the rolling bluegrass hills of Kentucky.

The entry fee will include a special Smashville 5K t-shirt and a voucher good for one ticket to watch the Nashville Predators in action that night vs. the San Jose Sharks or Tuesday or March 2 vs. the Edmonton Oilers. Additional ticket vouchers are available for purchase at a discounted rate of $20. Fees for the race are $35 through Feb. 5 and $40 on race day (includes game voucher only). Ticket vouchers will be issued when participants pick up their race packets.

Race packets must be picked up before race day either on Feb. 4 from 3 - 7 pm, at the Sommet Center or Feb. 5 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at A-Game Sportsplex (215 Gothic Court, Franklin, TN 37067).

Additional supporting partners for this year's race include Daily's, Green Farm Resort, Whole Foods and Swiftwick. For more information or to register online, please visit nashvillepredators.com/5Krunwalk or call 615-770-2384.

So what do you think, Preds fans? Got enough energy to run/walk a 5K, then cheer on the Preds as they face the Sharks?

I know I should get off my rear end and get into this...

hmm...

Hate to be a cheapskate, but I might can get a ticket cheaper than $35…but I do need the exercise.

Interesting. How many people were there last year?

I’ve done this the last two years, it’s fun. If you do it make sure you get your ticket voucher as early as possible if you want to go the Saturday game, last year we got stuck going to the game on Monday (or maybe Tuesday, don’t remember).
