Playoffs? Preds need to average a point per game.
James Mirtle at The Globe and Mail (formerly at SBN's own From the Rink) is back with his playoff push posts, and he predicts that it will require 95 points to get in the playoffs in the Western Conference. Since we are currently at 61 points, that means we need to average a point per game with 34 points in 34 games. So if Mirtle is right, we only need to go 17-17 to get in. As it stands currently, no matter what, 42 more points will officially clinch a playoff spot for us, according to Sports Club Stats. Also according to Sports Club Stats, other than the 5 teams they have with a 100% chance of making the playoffs (Blackhawks, Sharks, Devils, Sabres, and Capitals) the Predators have the best shot, with an 89.6% shot.
