Nashville Predators assign Andreas Thuresson to Milwaukee
From the Nashville Predators:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Andreas Thuresson to Milwaukee (AHL).
Thuresson, 21 (11/18/87), appeared in 11 games during his third career recall, which began Dec. 26 vs. Chicago. The Kristianstad, Sweden native scored his first career goal in the third period of a New Year's Eve win at Columbus. The goal, scored at 12:39 of the third period, forced overtime. In 21 games for the Predators in 2009-10, the 6-1, 212-pound winger has three points (1g-2a) while averaging 10:10 of ice time. In 20 games with the Admirals, he has 13 points (6g-7a).
With Jordin Tootoo so close to returning to action, this is more of a numbers thing than anything else. Thuresson plays a solid north-south type of game that should get him further NHL duty down the road.

I'll miss this guy
And I really, really hope that Spaling doesn’t get sent down. He’s been great, IMO.
