Nashville Predators recall Andreas Thuresson
Thanks to the injury situation, Andreas Thuresson is back up with the Nashville Predators. This comes from the team:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Andreas Thuresson from Milwaukee (AHL). This is the 6-1, 212-pound winger's fourth recall of the season.
Thuresson, 22 (11/18/87), has appeared in 21 games for the Predators this season, notching three points (1g-2a) and four penalty minutes while averaging 10:10 of ice time. He also has 41 hits to his credit, the third-highest total among Predator forwards. In 24 games for the Admirals in 2009-10, the Kristianstad, Sweden native has 15 points (7g-8a).
Especially given the back-to-back set coming up (tomorrow at Detroit, Saturday vs. Atlanta) the Preds need healthy, energetic bodies in the lineup.
Meanwhile in Milwaukee, Eric Kent wonders about the timing of this move, which could leave the Admirals shorthanded tonight against Hamilton.
The Preds return home Saturday, January 30 vs. Ilya Kovalchuk and the Atlanta Thrashers. For discounted tickets to this or any other Nashville Predators home game, you can follow this link and use the special offer code "PREDS".

I like the way Thuresson has played. He brings some solid physical play to the team. And I think we could use a bit of that going into the Wings game tomorrow.

I like Thuresson too,
but does this mean that Goc and/or Ward could still be out for Friday?
"Get to the Choppa!"
That’s exactly what it means, per the Preds’ Twitter account. Stay tuned for who plays tomorrow…
More fun than a stick to the face!
