Calgary has stolen our theme song!?

okay... Here's something I don't get at all. After The Preds game against The Thrashers saturday night I flipped over to "Hockey Night In Canada" on the NHL network. It was Calgary vs. Edmonton. Ok, ready for this?.....They were playing our "I Like It, I Love It" song at the game in Calgary. Huh? Wha? Why in the heck are they playing a song that says "don't know what it is about the Predators scoring, but i like it, i love it, i want some more of it" at a Calgary game!? I am downright puzzled by this one. If they had changed it to "don't know what it is about Calgary scoring" I could almost understand. Wait, actually, I would be double offended that they stole our song and changed it to say "Calgary". That is our song.... get your own song!!!!  I don't like it, I don't love it, I don't want any more of it! Ya feel me?

Wait a minute....

They have some Canadian country singer playing between periods. Maybe that has something to do with it. Still don’t like it, though. And I thought our new country music was bad, You should here this stuff!

Huh?

Are you sure the song still said “don’t know what it is bout the Predators scoring”?

weird

I’m assuming you misheard. I can only hear other teams’ goal songs when I listen on the radio, anyway, for some reason, but I don’t think any NHL team would have the exact same goal song as another…

Even if they did change it

Playing any country music is completely hypocritical. Any time I read criticism of the Preds, some elitist from a “traditional hockey market” starts making fun of our goal song. I guess hockey and country music are only allowed to mix in a “traditional hockey market.” When we do it, we’re a bunch of slack-jawed yokels who doesn’t deserve a hockey team.

I heard it too, but

they played the original/unedited lyrics in Calgary — “don’t know what it is ‘bout that little gal’s lovin…”
