Ryan Suter leaves Nashville/Calgary game with apparent knee injury
Just 2:04 into tonight's game against the Calgary Flames, Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Suter appeared to injury his knee in a collision with Cory Sarich. He left the game, and will not return.
The Preds are finally enjoying a return to action by Martin Erat and Pekka Rinne, as Matthew Lombardi was placed on IR earlier today.
Thanks to Kukla's Korner for posting video of the hit:

Sure hope and Pray
that Sutes is ok. with Goc and lombardi out and now Sutes this season is starting out tough on our guys.
Dirty?
Does it look like Sarich throws his knee in at the last second?
It didn’t appear dirty to me. Sarich meant to make shoulder-to-shoulder contact, and it was an awkward collision because Suter was leaning back, so his knees were out there.
Deliberate kneeing is incredibly rare in the NHL, because it’s just as dangerous to the guy throwing it as it is to the intended victim.

Yes
Check Sarich’s left knee in the slo-mo available on the net.

I am hopefull it is a minor injury
I’m just guessing but I think he will be ok. I can see how the knee got some pain there but he didn’t fall that weird on it. Hopefully this won’t be a long term thing. Thank goodness we have good Defensive depth, huh?
One positive thing out of the video...
is that his knee didn’t twist or anything. Most likely a knee contusion.
Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...
