Nashville Predators assign Jamie Lundmark to Milwaukee, put Ryan Suter on injured reserve
From the Preds:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has activated forward Jamie Lundmark from injured reserve and assigned him to Milwaukee (AHL). The team also placed forward Ryan Suter on injured reserve, joining forwards Marcel Goc and Matthew Lombardi.
The transactions leave Nashville's active roster at 21 players - 13 forwards, six defensemen and two goalies.
This comes as no surprise, since we heard he was passing through waivers yesterday. Having been injured since the first preseason game, he needs some competitive action before being ready to help fill the void up front.
Suter's trip to injured reserve means at least a week out of the lineup, so the earliest he can play is Thursday, October 28 vs. St. Louis. If someone gets called up to fill in as the 7th D, I wouldn't expect to hear about it until tomorrow. I'm placing my bet on Aaron Johnson to get that call, given his NHL experience.

Anybody know Suter's deal? What's the injury and how long is he expected to be out? I expect the brass is gonna be tight-lipped on this one...

IR means he’s out at least a week. We’re not going to hear any specifics on it, so for now, you can only go by the team’s downplaying of the severity, and wait for news of him skating again in practice, whenever that occurs.
