OtF Play of the Week (Week 2)

Paelgaace_medium_medium_medium_medium_medium_medium

Well, the week didn't end like we all would have hoped, but the first 2 games made up for it. The Blackhawks game, especially, showed us how bad these players want it this year. Although Lindback is nowhere near the player that Rinne is, I don't think we have to worry when Rinne needs a few games to rest. We have a ton of videos to choose from this week (that's not a bad thing!). Hopefully we can have this many next week. Go Preds!

Videos after the jump...

A. Goal: Steve Sullivan(2)- Cal O'Reilly(1), Ryan Suter(2) (6:37, 1st) 10/13/2010

Suter made a good decision to jump in and put the shot on goal. O'Reilly (who had  a really nice week) did a nice job of getting the puck out to Sully to finish off the goal. This was a big answer goal that kept us in the game.

B. Goal: Colin Wilson(1)- Kevin Klein(1), Marcel Goc(1) (4:43, 3rd) 10/13/2010

This play was set up perfectly. It's nice when you can get a goal directly after setting up behind your own net. We're really going to miss Goc. Hopefully he won't be out too long. This goal tied us up and set up the game winning goal.

C. Goal: Joel Ward(1)- J.P. Dumont(2), David Legwand(1) (19:33, 3rd) 10/13/2010

A game-winning PP goal?!?!? What?!?!? Legwand made a nice pass to Dumont, which made the goalie direct his attention to the left side, and then Dumont gave Wardo a perfect pass to bury it into the back of the net.

D. Goal: Steve Sullivan(3)- Ryan Suter(3), Cal O'reilly(2) (11:14, 1st) 10/14/2010

Well, I can't even come close to breaking it down better than Chris, so go here.

E. Save: Anders Lindback (6:39, 2nd) 10/14/10

This was Lindback's first WOW moment. Thankfully, he's got some long arms to make saves like that.

F. Goal: Patric Hornqvist(2)- Cal O'Reilly(4), Shea Weber(3) (16:21, 2nd) 10/14/2010

Another blue collar goal by Hornqvist. He's already proving that last year wasn't a fluke and he can consistently score goals like this.

G. Goal: J.P. Dumont(1)- Colin Wilson(2), Cody Franson(2) (17:07, 1st) 10/16/2010

The old man still has some talent left in him! Wilson had a really nice set up and Dumont picked a spot and hit it perfectly.

H. Hit: Kevin Klein (4:45, 2nd) 10/16/2010

Who needs Hamhuis when Klein can hit like this? Klein looks like he's taken a huge step forward from last year.

Don't forget to vote and leave a comment! Did I miss a play that you think should be in here? Let me know!
