With one home game to go in this month. The NHL schedule makers giving the Nashville Predators the Michael Jordans of the NHL( Ovechkin and Crosby) as home games in this month has been a resounding success. 2009-10 Nashville had six home games last year too. This year they have six but the numbers don't lie. See below:
2009-10 Home opener Avalanche 14,797
2010-11 Home opener Ducks 17,113 Sell out
2009-10 Sabres 14,209 Oilers 12,129 Blackhawks 13,103 Blackhawks 13,585
2010-11 Blues 15,103 Capitals 16,144 Flames 15,684 Penguins 17,113
Matching five games with 2009-10 the Predators are ahead by 13,284 in total number. The total attendance number thru five home games is 81,157. A sell out for the home opener(which did not happen last year) and the elusive Thursday night sell out in October. Remember last year the Preds first sell out was the day after Christmas against Chicago. They only had four sell outs during the regular season. With two for October, the Stone is ahead of schedule to be rocking at capacity this season.
