Nashville Predators assign Aaron Johnson to Milwaukee
Following through on the report over the weekend that had him going through waivers, the Nashville Predators confirmed this morning that defenseman Aaron Johnson is being sent to Milwaukee to start the season.
From the Preds:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Aaron Johnson to Milwaukee of the American Hockey League. The transaction leaves Nashville's roster at 25 players - 16 forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders. All NHL teams must set their Opening Day player rosters (23-player maximum) by Wednesday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. CT.
Stay tuned for further moves over the next day as the Preds pare down to 23 (or even 22) players.

No surprise
since Sulzer appeared at the Meet the Team event and Johnson was conspicuous by his absence but the preseason certainly might have indicated another decision.
