Nashville Predators send Linus Klasen back to Milwaukee
From the Nashville Predators:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Linus Klasen to Milwaukee (AHL).
Klasen, 24 (2/19/86), made his NHL debut on Saturday at Detroit, playing 6:22. He returns to an Admirals team that he leads in goals (7) and points (10).
This bodes well for the return of at least one regular forward to the Preds' lineup Wednesday at Phoenix, most likely Jordin Tootoo, who missed Saturday's game at Detroit. Stay tuned for further updates coming out of the team's practices today and tomorrow, to get a better idea if Ryan Suter and/or Francis Bouillon may return as well.

Plain stupid
This is absurd to me. First why was he the call-up in the first place? As everyone else said Saturday night if the call-up was going to play grinder minutes until Toots or Goc returned then it should have been Thuresson or Halischuk not Klasen. Second someone made a great point that Trotz didn’t see enough of Klasen in camp to feel comfortable giving him 10+ TOI, well today and tomorrow are two great days to see what the kid can do in practice. One would have to think that Klasen is the first call-up if Nashville needs a scorer, so get Trotz as comfortable as possible with him. I mean someone is going to take today or tomorrow as a “maintanence” day and if not Belak doesn’t need to practice.
What a waste...as per usual..
Sure, dress Belak and have him do hand puppets for the crowd instead of play. Useless.

I dont have anything to add
Section 326 is in the house!!!
I do!
The Predators scored 2 goals Saturday, good enough to move them up from 29th in scoring to a 4-way tie for 26th. Even if everyone is healthy this team still needs goal scoring. To send Klasen down in favor of a player as offensively unproductive as Tootoo or Erat or Legwand cannot be rationally explained. No one knows whether he can score at the NHL level but how do we find out if he’s languishing in the AHL? Trotz loves having a plethora of two-way forwards. How’s that been working out for you Barry?
