Predators Power Ranking Roundup: Week 7

Photo

In this return edition of our power rankings roundup, the rankings reflect what has been an absolute roller coaster season for the Nashville Predators. If the year to date was put on a line graph, well, it'd be a total mess.

Keep in mind that this week's rankings were compiled before last night's disaster in Toronto. You can click on the logos for full rankings, and follow after the jump for more.

Outlet This Week Last Week What They're Saying

20 23 A couple of third-period comebacks led to shootout wins and snapped the Preds' losing streak at five games.
11 21 A couple of big shootout wins over St. Louis and Chicago have Barry Trotz and the Preds back on the upswing.

18 22 By the time the slumping Predators play in Columbus -- a week from today -- they will have played nine out of 10 on the road.
10 21 Two huge statement wins against St. Louis and Chicago snapped a swoon.
12 24 The Predators were able to put a five-game losing streak to bed last week thanks to Pekka Rinne. The Nashville goaltender backstopped his team to consecutive shootout victories, which included a 24-save performance with three in the shootout against the Blues that put an end to the losing.
23 8 Southerners' sweet start swapped for sloppy swoon.
19 23 Predators win two in a row but have lost six of their last 10.

18 21 Cal O'Reilly continues to be a scoring sensation for the Preds, netting the shootout winner against the Blackhawks.
23 23 Back-to-back shootout wins snapped a five-game slide, but it's still been a while (Oct. 24) since the Predators' last regulation victory.
11 7 Rinne struggles as team loses five in a row.
16 13 How much does Ryan Suter mean to the success of this hockey team? They experienced a five-game losing streak in his absence. And won during his return on Saturday.

Many thanks to Japers' Rink for the format.
