OtF Play of the Week (Week 4)

Paelgaace_medium_medium_medium_medium_medium_medium_medium_medium

Well, we started the week off with 2 points. The end of the week- not so much. The Predators ending up laying two stinkers last Thursday and Saturday. If you look at our situation overall, though, 13 out of 20 points is really good considering all of the early injuries. Hopefully, we can get some momentum going on this road trip out west. As for the contest this week, it's pretty much a competition for 2nd.

Videos after the jump...

Star-divide

A. Goal: Shea Weber(1)- Francis Bouillon(2), Cal O'Reilly(5) (11:54,1st) 10/24/10

This goal provided one of the best shots we've ever seen. Weber did a really nice job of picking up the rebound and planting the puck right where he wanted.

B. Goal: Sergei Kostitsyn(1)- Nick Spaling(1), Jerred Smithson(1) (15:04, 1st) 10/24/10

Again, I can't break it down any better than Chris, so go here.

C. Save: Anders Lindback (12:03, 2nd) 10/24/10

Some may disagree, but I think this is the best save Lindback had in this game. He did a really nice job of getting Stamkos out of the way and getting that side of the net covered.

D. Goal: Cody Franson(2)- David Legwand(3), Jordin Tootoo(3) (17:55, 2nd) 10/24/10

I think that's the fastest I've ever seen Franson move. And then top it off with a deke like that?! Wow. As Lil cutie mentioned in the game recap go to the 3:47 mark for maybe the 2nd best picture from the Preds (you have to go the video that's embedded on the page to see this particular shot).

E. Save: Anders Lindback (9:45, 3rd) 10/24/10

This is what most people would consider to be the save of the game. And it was a great save on a dangerous player. Holy crap, I love our goaltending duo!

F. Goal: Colin Wilson(2)- Martin Erat(3), J.P. Dumont(4) (14:10, 3rd) 10/24/10

Although Erat passed up a shot he probably should have taken, it still worked out to be a nice play for the Preds. I thought Wilson's shot was going to be blocked, but it made it's way through to an open net. Good work by Wilson along the boards that eventually led to his own goal.

G. Save: Pekka Rinne (19:45, 1st) 10/28/10

There really wasn't much to put up from this game, even though Peks didn't have a terrible night. Rinne made a nice read and stop against Backes on the PP.

H. Goal: Kevin Klein(1)- Shea Weber(5), Steve Sullivan(3) (9:39, 3rd) 10/30/10

I think Weber passed up some better chances than Klein, but it worked out anyways. Klein deserves this goal for his hard work this season. He has turned into a strength for the defense.

There’s only one true option in this poll. Cody “Orr” Franson FTW.

This may be a sweep...

Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...

Wow...

…still, there’ll likely not be another POTW poll with a more-overwhelming favorite.
