Slow, grinding game, but good to get the W. I’ve got this feeling that soon we’ll see a Horny hat trick. He’s been kinda quiet lately.
Maybe so
but I think another 30 goal season is not going to happen.

He is only on pace to get about 23 goals so far. However, he has been all around that basket. IF we get the PP going at a half way decent rate, i don’t see why he can’t get 30.
In other news, I noticed Santorelli has 6 goals for Florida this season. He potted 2 last night. He only has 2 assists though.
Third shootout win in the past five games

Speaking of Pekka...
Just saw this, and I know if he could ever be more consistent – he would be elite:
Rinne Is Nhl Shutout Leader Over Last 24 Months
From Elias: Pekka Rinne posted the 16th shutout of his NHL career with a 3-0 win at Montreal on Thursday. Since Dec. 1, 2008, the date of Rinne’s first clean sheet (2-0 at Buffalo), he’s recorded more shutouts than any other NHL goaltender. Martin Brodeur and Tomas Vokoun are tied for second with 14 shutouts over that span.
that's the trick, consistency
It’s the same for goalies, defensemen, and forwards. So many guys can show flashes of brilliance, but putting in a dependable effort night in, night out is what makes someone a valuable NHL player.
Unfortunately, I wouldn’t say Rinne’s quite there yet.

There were 70 that went with Slap Shot...
But there were at least 30-40 more that I saw sprinkled throughout the arena. We definitely kicked their asses when it came to cheering. They were intimidated enough to try to out cheer us…they even tried to copy the goalie cheer. We showed ’em how its done when Smitty scored though. Fun time was certainly had by all!!!

IMO Hamerlk should get a dance card for that hit
But will he be man enough to go with Toots?
Make something idiot-proof and the world will build a better idiot
Too bad...
we won’t play Montreal til next year.
