OTF joins the Predators post-game radio crew
I've got two radio notes for Predators fans this afternoon...
1) Terry Crisp will join 104.5 The Zone today from 3-4, talking about all the recent developments as the Preds head into New Jersey for a game tomorrow night. Patric Hornqvist didn't travel with the team, but Pekka Rinne did, and Steve Begin's been called up from Milwaukee.
2) Starting with tomorrow's Predators/Devils game, I'll be joining Willy Daunic occasionally on the radio post-game show on 102.9 The Buzz. We'll take questions submitted via the Predators' official Facebook page, and wrap up all the action. Be sure to join us!

Congrats!
I’m loving the direction that radio is going, much better quality across the board since leaving 104.5 (I’m shocked).
I’m sure you’ll do us all proud.

Great gig!
But remember, we’re going to be listening intently to your every…single…word.

And we’ll be available for constructive (or destructive depending upon your point of view ) criticism after every show ’cause, I mean, what are blog friends for anyway?

Pronunciation
When on the radio, it’s important to pronounce the players’ names correctly. Here is a handy guide based on the opponent’s tv announcers (especially the jumbotron guy with the Hurricanes)
Erat = E-Dot
Goc = Gock
Kostitsyn = Ko-Stitch-en
Spaling = Spal-Ding
Franson = Frahn-Zen
Lombardi = Who? Can’t help here
Klein = Ohhhhhhh Nooooooooo!
Did I miss any?
Boullion= Bull-in (or the alt. version Bull-ee-in)
Lindback= Lin-BACH ( never fails to bring Arnold Schwarzenegger to mind “I’ll be BACH”) or the very southern proununciation Lin-baaaaaak. Ok, just how do you pronounce his name anyway??
Sulzer= (Alka)-Selzer
Rinne= I’m not even sure I wanna go there since Crispy and Pete pronounce it different every game. Let’s just stick with something we all agree on…Pekka.

I think it was something like
Rinne = Denneh from the Carolina guy.
I understand he’s attempting to pronounce players’ names within their own vernacular but as this sort of thing goes, where do you stop? There were some names he was completely ignoring as he was doing it: Jussi Jokinen and Hornqvist for example.
Congrats on the radio gig! Well-deserved!
On a totally different topic, what happened to OtF play of the week, by Michaeltastic? It was a good feature, and I’ve missed it…
That's a good question...
Especially considering the dandy goals we’ve seen lately.
On the Forecheck is SB Nation's blog covering the Preds (be sure to check out my discount offer on Nashville Predators tickets). Catch me on Twitter at @Forechecker, or join our legions on Facebook at Facebook.com/OnTheForecheck.
Lol, sorry.
I’m in the middle of getting things ready to move to KY, work, and the whole Christmas season bananza. Hopefully I’ll get back into it soon, but the next month or so is going to be very hectic. Somebody else could do it for a few weeks if they want to take over…
Christie kicks it high and short...Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25...He dishes it back to Wycheck...He throws it across the field to Dyson...
