Predators crowned by Kings 6-1

First, your video highlights (viewer discretion advised) and Kings vs Predators boxscore:
Thoughts on this one? I don't have many. Thankfully, the Preds only play 13 back-to-back sets this season, among the fewest in the NHL. There were so many ugly moments in this one it's tough to focus on specifics, although (since I mentioned it in the game thread), Shane O'Brien's play behind the net which lead to L.A.'s 5th goal was particularly egregious, he just hesitated far too long and got his pocket picked.
Bottom line, the Kings jumped the Preds right from the start, just as I feared this afternoon. Do we blame the Game Operations staff for returning to the Jay-Z intro? Sure, sounds good enough for me...
You can listen to post-game audio from Barry Trotz, Ryan Suter, Kevin Klein, Anders Lindback, and Mark Dekanich, who made his NHL debut and then got sent back to Milwaukee. Sergei Kostitsyn's scoring streak also came to an end.

I wish Kosti could've continued his streak.
I kind of anticipated us losing this one. We were playing a back-to-back which was the 5th in 8 days and I think all their players are well now. The Preds were missing too many key pieces to match up with the Kings under these circumstances.
I have never seen...
so many lucky bounces go to one team. The Kings got every bounce. Most of those goals weren’t even scoring chances. They got a lucky bounce 15 seconds in and it never stopped, ever!

Completely Agree
I wasn’t all that disappointed with the way the Preds played. I know that people tend to let the final score skew their judgment sometimes, but what I saw was a Preds team that hustled to the puck and played hard for the most part. The Kings were the incredibly lucky beneficiaries of some really flukey goals. That’s just how it goes sometimes.
I was a lot more pleased with this effort, despite the outcome, than I was with the San Jose effort.
Oh well, back at it on Wednesday.

Meh...
I think everyone was expecting this one to be at best a tough loss. Felt bad for Lindback, but it was inevitable that he would have a bad game. I just can’t find it in me to be really upset about this game, cards were stacked against us and we knew it.
EASports' NHL 11 doesn't suck; in fact, it's really damn good! Wait, what!?
Go Predators!!!
