The Business Of Hockey, 2010 - Forbes
Forbes comes out with their annual (and incredibly suspect) list of NHL team valuations, with the Preds ranked 27th, same as last year. The picture they show on the Preds' page shows Phoenix instead, and they refer to David Freeman as the former CEO of the team instead of the chairman, so who knows how much fact-checking was really put into this.

NHL's Best GMs
Don Waddell at #5? Post this article over on the Thrashers blog and see the reaction. This writer needs new criteria.
Agree that Poile is one of the best.
Yeah, that was weird
In the end, though, what he got for Kovalchuk should leave a nice legacy.

Speaking of Pennies
I know Lombardi’s been out now for, what, 22 games? Do the Pred’s get any type of salary relief , or something along those lines for a player with an extended injury?
Exact details are very difficult to come by, but previous reports talked about insurance that begins at the 30-game mark, covering a portion of the salary. I’m still trying to nail down specifics there. When Sully was out with his back issue, there were references to an 80% figure.
