Cal and Lindy
1) O’Reilly because he seemed another one of those Milwaukee Great/Nashville No So Much players and proved to have greater vision and ability than suspected.
2) Lindback because Vem visste?
Goc? No surprise there. He showed his heart and grit last season, too.

TOUGH DECISION
but i go with lindy only because that was the one real undecided selection in camp, a potential major weakness w/ the ellis departure, he hadnt played in the nhl til opening night and the fact that you cant hide in net. i do have to admit to being really surprised by o’reilly though. i was sure he was the next peverly.

Not Kevin Klein
But Seriously,
I can’t say I’m more impressed by Goc this year than I was last year. I think Goc has just carried on with his excellent play from the previous season. Unlike with the Sharks, Goc has finally found a place where he can demonstrate the skill set that made him a first round pick. Its a testament to the player that he’s maintained such a great work ethic. He and Horny were tied for most surprising last season.
I’ve enjoyed watching SK74 play and I really want to seem him break out, but he’s not it. O’Brien had me worried until after I read the interview where he stated that Nashville was a fresh start for him. That, plus Poile’s quiet genius was just fine.
In the end I agree with the above comment. Lindback has been a revelation stepping into the NHL from the SEL at the age of 22. If it weren’t for Pekka this whole season would be about Goalie Bob vs. The Giant. O’Reilly is finally playing at his potential which is really nice to see. What surprised me is what a huge step he’s taken and the consistent patience he’s shown. O’Reilly’s hockey smarts gives him this amazing ability to sit on a puck and make the right pass at the right time. On a team that will pass blindly into traffic as often as possible, just skill and patience is refreshing.
I find it hard to choose between O'Reilly and Lindback...
…but have to go with Cal only because offense is sorely needed on this team, which is always stronger on the defensive side.
O"Reilly hands down...
and of course Lindy. Another one is Spaling….he has almost single handedly made our PK one of the tops in the league.
But I guess what has truly surprised me more than anything is Trotz allowing O’Reilly to finally play his game with type of linemates he deserves….I honestly thought Cal would be grinding it out again, get booted back to the AHL and picked up on waivers. Glad to see I was wrong about that….

Lindback
It’s hard to choose between Cal and Andres. I’m choosing Lindback because of pressure of being a goalie. He’s stepped up each time the Preds have needed him in his first year in the league.
All of those plus Kostitsyn
With our penny penching front office, good bargains are a great thing. And all of those guys aren’t making that much money.
Cal O'Reilly
I’ve had the privilege of watching him play in Milwaukee the last few years, so it’s great to see him make the transition to the NHL.
Here’s the highlight of his AHL career:

Unbelievable
Highlights don’t get more spectacular than that. Many thanks!
