Should the Preds look at Cheechoo?

The Ottawa Senators just put Jonathan Cheechoo on waivers today. Should the Preds take a look? He won the Rockey Richard trophy just four years ago, and he even had 23 goals two seasons ago. I say we consider it. Cap room could be a major problem though. Plus I really want to see a team with Cheechoo and Tootoo. Maybe we can get Ruutuu from the Sens as well?

Interesting, but no thanks. Cap “room” isn’t a problem, we have loads.
His cap hit is too much for so little productivity.

Look at his production and how it’s steadily declined over the last several seasons, and it would be an act of pure hope to bring him on. I’ll pass!
This is an interesting time, though; it’s like getting two Trade Deadline days this season.
