Nashville Predators reassign Nolan Yonkman to Milwaukee
From the Nashville Predators:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Nolan Yonkman to Milwaukee (AHL).
Yonkman, 28 (4/1/81), did not dress for the Predators during his six-day recall. Milwaukee's captain ranks second on the club with 112 penalty minutes, in addition to posting nine points (2g-7a), in 52 American League games this season.
After Cody Franson injured his ribs, Yonkman was called up to provide depth just in case Dan Hamhuis had to leave the team suddenly (his wife is expecting to deliver their second child any day now).
During his time practicing with the Predators this last week, did he make enough of an impression to possibly get called up again if a post-Olympic trade opens up an opportunity? We'll have to wait a few weeks for the answer to that one...

"Dressed"
Just an idle question: Yonkman suited up for the three New York area games (hard to miss the big guy pregame) but did not play. Is “dress” just a term or does it signify something else?

“Dressed” means to be on the roster for that game, in uniform and on the bench. Yonkman came out for pre-game warmups, but was scratched from each game and watched from the press box.
More fun than a stick to the face!
