Nashville Predators re-assign Colin Wilson & Alexander Sulzer to Milwaukee
From the Nashville Predators:
Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has reassigned forward Colin Wilson and defenseman Alexander Sulzer to Milwaukee (AHL).
Wilson, 20 (10/20/89), posted two points in four games during his second NHL stint which started Feb. 9, scoring his first ever game-winning goal against the New York Rangers on Tuesday, then posting his second career assist the following game at New Jersey on Friday night. He played a career-high 18:06 in Sunday's 4-3 shootout victory over the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins to finish off the Predators pre-Olympic break schedule. In 14 games this season, the seventh overall pick in the 2008 Entry Draft has four points (2g-2a). He heads back to Milwaukee where he has 24 points (9g-15a) in his last 17 AHL outings.
Sulzer, 25 (5/30/84), has a pair of assists in 18 games for the Predators in 2009-10, and suited up for all six of Nashville's games during his most recent recall (Feb. 4-14). He will not be heading to Milwaukee, but rather to Vancouver to represent Germany in the 2010 Olympics, his second appearance in the Winter Games. The 6-1, 204-pound blueliner also has 19 points (4g-15a) in 19 games at the AHL level this season.
This isn't surprising, as the guys could use the game action over the next two weeks. The question is, will Wilson return as soon as the Olympics conclude?

Certainly hope Wilson returns
It was gratifying to see his contributions in the three games we caught on the Island, in the City and in Jersey. He stood tall along with Toots, Elly and Erat (excepting the late penalty against the Isles). What a contrast to Arnott, Legwand, Sully and even JP, all of whom appeared to be taking a pre-Olympic break.

Wilson better come back
He was outstanding. I mean, if I had written down what I wanted him to do I couldn’t have done it any better.
The goal was awesome, his assist against NJD was sweet, and some of those passes yesterday were incredible. Kid’s a player, and could really contribute down the stretch…
Big two weeks for the Preds here—Poile’s gonna be hashing out deals with Ellis and Rinne, and maybe Hamhuis.
On the Forecheck-where Patric Hornqvist is never underappreciated.

Question regarding Hamhuis and Sulzer
Does anyone think that Sulzer played well enough in the last several games to give Poile and Trotz confidence to trade Hamhuis? In this scenario, Franson would take Hamhuis’ spot and Sulzer on the line with Bouilion?
