Preds captain Jason Arnott was scheduled to get his elbow looked at by doctors today, but Trotz said he’s still likely to play tonight against Phoenix. Arnott had been dealing with an injury to the elbow, and when he was hauled down the other night by Thrashers defenseman Boris Valabik, he landed on the elbow.
John Glennon's afternoon update from the Tennessean. How did Valabik escape supplementary discipline for his dangerous slew-footing of the Predators captain??? Earlier this year, Anaheim's Evgeny Artyukhin got a 3-game suspension for a similar incident.

Maybe this means Arnott will check someone instead of reaching out and grabbing him.

not really related but...
Sulzer is coming back up according to Glennon. Could it be because there is a trade afoot? or am I just being wishful/foolish?
sorry for the double post without the body of the message…hit “enter” too quickly

hm
I’m not sure, but you may be on to something, though I doubt Poile is ready to pull the trigger just yet. However, if Hamhuis is traded then Sulzer will be the guy for a stint. Somebody tweeted today that Poile has been talking to Tampa, but of course thats mere rumor.
On the other hand, I don’t think Trotz would give Sulzer some playing time right now because of how utterly awesome Franson is on offense.
In summary, that recall will confuse me.
On the Forecheck is SB Nation's blog covering the Nashville Predators.
