Preds in the Playoffs?! Who are they kidding?

Shhhh! What you're hearing is the Predators chances for the playoffs fly right out the window. If they can't beat the Islanders, the NHL's closest thing to an AHL farm team, they've got no chance, and I might add, no right, to be in the playoffs. Once again, the scoring "power houses" of Legwand, Arnott, and Erat were nowhere to be seen. Even better, Erat cost us the game. Hey Poile, might I suggest dumping a few of these losers before the trade deadline.

At first I thought it was a bad stretch that any team has, but this is going too long.

Are you kidding me? We were 12 seconds from beating a decent team on the road. I think that’s a little harsh against Legwand, Arnott and Erat. Arnott is obviously playing in pain, and Erat plays a great game save his boarding call. All this from a team in a rebuilding year? I’d say they’re still overachieving. I understand the frustration, but you are starting to sound like Flyers fans.

I'm with you on being a little too harsh on Erat, Legwand, and Arnott...

but seriously, how can you call the Islanders a decent team? They have been horrible most of the year, and most of the past few years. We should beat them considering we only play them about once a year.

My anger and hurt in my gut make me want to agree with you. But my love for this team and the overall view of things makes me want to tell you to layoff! It is kinda like catching your wife screwing around on ya or something. You still love her but you want to hate her. This is how I feel with Trotz and the Preds right now. I mean GEES! 11 freaking seconds! Me and my Grandma could have shut down the NYI for 11 seconds….AH it just killed me watching that game last night. Luckily Detroit only got a point and Calgary lost. The good thing is this…..(positive thinking)…if we can stay in the top 8 before the Olympic break and make a couple of trades…such as a good Defensive minded Dman and a Goal scorer…then we could end up in a good spot. We damn sure dont need to end up in 8th and face the Chicago Blackhawks first round. And I dang sure dont want us facing the Sharks again. So lets get to winning some games. Lets make it to the 2nd round THIS YEAR…….screw this rebuilding year crap. We have shown that we can win against some good teams. We had a huge winning streak. It appears that Trotz has deemed Rinne as the starter…so thats good. (even though Ellis would have been just as good) Consistency…….that is what we need. Even from our Coach!
