Nashville Predators recall Colin Wilson, Alexander Sulzer

From the Nashville Predators:

Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Colin Wilson and defenseman Alexander Sulzer from Milwaukee (AHL).

Wilson, 20 (10/20/89), posted two points in four games during his second career NHL stint from Feb. 9-14, and has four points (2g-2a) in 14 games for the Predators this season. During the NHL Olympic break, he notched five points (1g-4a) in five AHL games, giving him 29 points (10g-19a) in his last 22 games for the Admirals.

Sulzer, 25 (5/30/84), represented Germany for the second consecutive Olympics at the 2010 Vancouver Games, playing in all four of his nation's games and averaging 15:09 of ice time. The 92nd overall pick in the 2003 Entry Draft has a pair of assists in 18 games for the Predators in 2009-10, and suited up in Nashville's final six games before the Olympic break.

With Ryan Suter and Shea Weber having played yesterday, and Cody Franson still nursing sore ribs, I wouldn't be surprised to see Sulzer log quite a bit of ice time tomorrow against Edmonton.

Here’s to hoping that recalling Sulzer means there is a trade in works for Hamhuis…
