Nashville Predators prospect Taylor Beck wins OHL's Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy

From the Ontario Hockey League's Guelph Storm:

The OHL announced that Storm forward Taylor Beck is the winner of the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy as the OHL's top scoring right winger.  Beck becomes the first player in Guelph Storm history to earn the honour.

Taylor Beck of the Guelph Storm scored 39 goals and 54 assists for 93 points in 61 games to finish tied for fourth in league scoring.  He finished the season with 26 multi-point games and was named the Boston Pizza OHL and CHL Player of the Week for the week ending January 19 following his best career game with five points as second star of an 8-3 win over the Sudbury Wolves January 17. 

Beck was drafted last summer in the 3rd round by the Nashville Predators, and has made huge strides this season, nearly doubling his offensive output from 2008-9. Long known for developing defensemen, might the Predators have an elite goal-scoring force in the making up front as well?
